In my whirlwind attempt to catch up on a year of blogging, I couldn’t pass by this session because it was the only time a parent has desperately wanted a themes shoot. And it was a super cute one too! Mom had a soft spot for one particular Disney story. For Wesley’s Peter Pan theme newborn session I was asked to pull out the stops and go full on themey. I admit I had to re-watch the movie for the first time in years to get some inspiration.
We used two hats – one that mom was gifted (way too big) and one that I made out of felt (way too small). But I think they both were quite cute in their own right. Once I got the green light to go kitschy, I employed some Photoshop skills to make it happen. l did my take on all of the Pinterest hits and then created a few more. It was really fun to try something off the wall. I love that children’s sessions allow such freedom. When adults do these things we scoff – when a baby gets into character with a Photoshop fairy, it’s stinkin’ adorable! Enjoy!
